My son loves these books and loves the pictures that go along with them. The BOB books are easier for his beginning level, but these books hold his interest longer.

Everything I order from Small Hands is a hit with the grandchildren. But then the options are so fitting for the younger ones. (The older grandchildren are all teenagers.)

These are the greatest first-reader books I've seen. The stories are sweet, the illustrations are beautiful and simple, and the paper quality is high. I definitely recommend and plan to give these as gifts!

This set of books is handily kept in a box (though ours has already torn--the cardboard could be sturdier). The text is easy to read with a lot of word repetition, perfect for introducing new words. Some of the topics are random, but my boy enjoys them. He's on the verge of reading but has yet to make the leap. I think these are helping.

I read these to my 6 month old. I bought them for her to use later though, and I think they will be very good first books. The stories are simple and easy to read. A few are even funny!
