Wikki Stix Primary Pack Set of 48 wax-coated modeling strings
These are fun and easy to play with, plus they don't leave a mess behind. The sky is the limit with how to play with them or what to create. The only thing is that the fun seemed to fade rather quickly for my kids. If I get them out and play with them, the kids will sometimes engage, but they don't seek the wikki stix out on their own.

I pack these in my purse to carry with me so my son can play with it while waiting at restaurants or airports. Generally compact and light and relatively mess free. Can leave a bit of a wax residue on hands but can wash off with soap. Good because the stix don't roll around and generally stay put on level surfaces. Would recommend this product.

The jury's still out on these. They seem pretty cool in theory but I haven't been inspired when playing with them and neither have either of my girls (2 and 5). We're not done exploring the possibilities but they didn't hold immediate appeal.

I remember having and loving these 20 odd years ago. My 7 year old got them in her Christmas stocking, loved them and immediately started creating all sorts of wonderful creatures, flowers, people and whatnot. I was amazed at her creativity. They definitely need to be used in a dedicated art area or table. They pick up any and all dust, dirt, lint and hairs if dropped and it is difficult to resurrect them after that.

We use this in small spaces like when travelling, at doctor's offices, etc. It encourages the imagination, is reusable, takes up no space and kids enjoy it!
