Gave to a grandchild who has a tool belt because he works along side his dad and grand dad. He liked it, but will have to practice the winding of the tape. Winds up easily...just a little hand coordination needed.
My 4 year old son loves to help measure things around the house but regular tape measures are just too dangerous. It's taken me so long to find a suitable children's one that wasn't just two feet long. I put this in his stocking at Christmas and it may be the item that has gotten the most use out of all his gifts. Nice work, Small Hands!
Wind-Up Tape Measure 10 meter (33 feet) long retractable measuring tape
My two boys (5 and 3) used to play with daddy's measuring tape, but after one got cut from it snapping back in, I looked for another alternative. This one requires them to wind it back up. The numbers count in increments of 10, but don't go up, so measuring can be confusing for adults that are used to traditional systems. For example, it counts 1-10cm then, 1-10cm, then 1-10cm for 30cm.
This item was a stocking stuffer for my 5 year old son. It would be just fine if the tape wound back up into the green case; however, it does not. What a waste of $. I hope to be able to return it.
